another slant on things look up the book  "Trails Plowed Under"  by Charles 
M. Russell.  Many great stories, but try the one called "Dog Eater", for a 
new thought.
Don't let the title turn you off, it's a good read.

Charley Russell was real, he was there, you may learn some new things.   He 
also tells a fine story.
