Hi Robert,

Yes, you will be much more comfortable in tights!  Don't worry, nearly all the other guys will be wearing them too...and if you want to know a little secret that you can snicker at, the ones who aren't are almost certainly wearing panty hose under their pants...and are still not as comfortable as the ones in tights.  ;)    Tights tend to be unisex, so take your measurements and order whatever size is appropriate.  My husband likes to wear Homies (men's riding underwear, sold by Canadian Trail House) under his tights.
