I don't think that's necessarily true- I bought a really nice breeding
stock paint mare several years ago, 6 years old, not broke, wild as a march
hare; some neighbors were going to take her to our local sale but I bought her
instead for very cheap (their teenage daughter had lost interest in the horses
so they decided they didn't need the horse anymore); used my "Parelli" training
knowledge, and had her out trail riding within 2 months. I sold her
to a very nice family 6 months later and they still have her 4 years
later. She was one of the nicest horses I've ever worked with. She
had awesome hooves too-she is still ridden barefoot. And she might
have gone to the Killers.
