Not. Perhaps if there WERE this option, we would have fewer of the abandoned dogs and cats that currently are being caught, killed, and disposed of. It absolutely boggles my mind that caring horse people want to consign unwanted horses to the same treatment that is currently visited upon unwanted dogs and cats, to be abandoned to fend for themselves until animal control catches them, cages them, and then kills them (and you are off your nut if you think this won't happen, we already KNOW that it happens to cats and dogs). Not. The nice thing about the ability to slaughter horses and render them into something useful is that this makes it so there are FEWER unwanted horses, because even if nobody else wants the horse, maybe the slaughter house does.
