It we nice to be able to haul a horse that was no longer useful to the local plant 10 or 20 miles away with little trauma to the horses. The animal rights people shut these local "houses" down in the 90's. Now the horses have to endure long crowed hauls without feed or water. It is much LESS humane and terribly short sided.
