RE: [RC] Strangles vaccine - Lauren Horn

Very interesting about the reactions to the strangles vaccine. I have had my 6 year old vaccinated both IN and IM a few times in her life and haven't had any adverse reactions. I remember a friend whose two year old filly contracted strangles and it cost her $1500. for IV meds and hospitalization. I always thought it was good insurance to get vaccinated. I was just going to get a IN vaccine in a couple months. For those of you who experienced side effects I have a couple questions: Were the effects (auto immune) from IN or IM vaccine? How many times were the horse vaccinated prior? What brand vaccine?
Maybe if I do it once every two years instead of annually, maybe it would cut my chances of her having a reaction?
