Re: [RC] Morgans in endurance being competitive - Sharon LevasseurMary, I know it's a long drive, but you could get 120 miles in the cool temps of late September if you come to the Hot Toddy Hustle! Check out the trail pictures and info at www.zegifts.com/HTH and if you have any questions, just ask! Sharon Levasseur, Ride Manager Hot Toddy Hustle I & II September 22-23, 2007 Orland, Maine www.zegifts.com/HTH Quoting Charles & Mary Coleman <caf@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>: Heat, hills, and humdity here in the NE count for the fact not many horses of any breed can compete for 5000 AERC miles or become a decade horse. Hawk is a 15.3, 1200 pound Morgan with foundation lines. He is 180 miles short of 5K and next year if all goes well he will become a decade horse. He has finished 87 rides out of 91 starts. To me that is being competitive! He went right from the Western Maine ride to the local fair where he's been shown in the gaming classes (and placing) as well as patrolling the fairgrounds at night since we are members of the Sheriff Posse. So he's doing what Justin Morgan wanted being versatile! Mary C =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
