    I think we will find this in every sport, in every country, in every walk of life. There will always be a few that will stop and help, and a few that wont. I don't think our sport has anything to do with it. It is a terrible shame if we are in trouble and are stuck with the selfish ones. It is a darn shame, and very sad that these people are so focused on themselves that they wont give a helping hand. But I wouldn't blame the sport...unfortunately this is common everywhere. :(

I've heard stories about riders refusing to stop to allow the other

rider in their two person team to adjust a loose girth, knowing well

that the horse wouldn't stand still long enough while it's buddy

disappears down the trail.

 

I'm just glad that so far I didn't get into trouble on the trail

leaving me helpless and relying on other riders:(
