Ah - the good old days again. That was also before "fit to continue" and 
7 hour 100's.  The sport has changed - for better or worse. It is really 
impossible to compare athletics from one era to those of another - be 
they human or equine. Is Barry Bonds better than "Hammering" Hank Arron? 
We will never know - they played in different eras.
