Re: [RC] [RC] Foot Pain - Barbara McCraryI had Morton's Neuroma in the past. It caused excruciating pain and burning in my toes. I'm sure it started when I rode Tevis one year with English irons and the wrong footwear. It became so bad, I finally resorted to having a neurectomy. My foot still hurt and burned for about three years afterwards, but since then it's been fine and all I have as a reminder is a small scar and a couple of faintly numb toes.I have found that wide, thickly padded stirrups and Ariat Performers (hard soles) in combination work well for me. Wide stirrups give more support. Wouldn't a more rigid shoe do the same? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
