Re: [RC] [RC] Jeremy's crew mistake - Beth WalkerAgreed. The Tevis or any other ride that goes through Forest Service land and/or private property -- which would be just about every ride around.I sometimes think that more emphasis, and more severe penalties should be attached to infractions -- and announced ahead of time. Maybe if the crew members and riders were told (on the entry form, and at the ride meeting) what the penalties for not following the rules were (loss of placement, loss of consideration for BC, monetary fine for EACH member of the crew plus the rider -- say: double the entry fee for EACH person) they would pay more attention. Unfortunately, not everyone follows the rules because it is the right thing to do. Some folks have to have a stick shown to them, and be convinced that the stick WILL be applied. It is the rest of us that will suffer if we can't convince those folks, because there will be no more rides.
