Anyway, he told me that IF you know what you're doing, you can do it more precisely with an electric tool. I read an article that said many of these power tools overheat the tooth and damage the nerves. That's why our dentists blow that stupid cold misty water into our mouths as they drill...to cool the tooth. My equine dentist has gone back to hand tools for the most part and when using any power tool cools it *often*.
