I volunteered with all the vets she described at the Old Dominion this past June. I can just see the faces of Otis, Nick and Doug as they waited for Ned to compose himself. I can only imagine what it would have been like if Art King had been one of his vets! Or Lani or Dennis Seymour. Now that would have been a trip! If I don't have a horse to compete for next year's Vermont, I shall either run (yes, I'm one of those "sickos" who thinks running a 100 miles is great fun) or volunteer.
