Have any of you considered using the Crocheted Fly ear nets that are 
used by the Grand Prix
jumpers?  They use them for flies and also to keep the cotton in the 
horses' ears to deaden
sound from Arena noise, but don't see why they wouldn't work out on the 
trail.

You can find the ones that are all crocheted, even the ear parts, so 
they would be coolor.  Some
can be custom made for up to $100 if one really wants fancy!!
