Well, since I brought up the subject, I’ll start. As
a newbie without a horse, I take weekend dressage lessons. I have a full
time career and a husband and two boys, so you can imagine that I don’t
get much time to myself. I include my family in my exercise after work –
they’re my encouragement too. Basically, I have to keep up with a 7
and 5 year old on their bikes through my neighborhood, going about 2.5 miles
every other night.
Here are a couple of my questions. I wear heels at work –
nothing really high, 2-3”, but I was wondering if they are what’s
causing my calves to cramp. My next question: I run in intervals
(can’t do a steady run yet), taking breaks by actively walking. By
the end of my 2 miles, no matter how much walking rest I’ve had, my
throat is so dry it hurts to breathe. Does anyone know what I can do
about this? I’m only away from the house for about 30 minutes and
don’t really want to drag a water bottle with me, but I will if that is
the only solution. Thanks.
Karen
