RE: [RC] Rice bran and beet pulp - Lonnie RueschI respect Dr. Garlinghouse very much, and I know she is not a big fan of rice bran, but I can give you my "one rat study." When in competition my mare would drop weight. Eight months ago she gave me a foal which really pulled her weight down. She is fed a good quality four way grass hay and up to 2 cups of soaked beet pulp, twice a day. I was considering taking the foal off earlier than I like because the mare was getting so thin when I remembered the stabilized rice bran. I started her off slowly - I do everything slowly - HA - and worked her up to about 2 c. rice bran in her beet pulp. In two weeks my friends were amazed w/how much weight she had put back on. The brand my IFA carries is Maxiglow. Additionally, I was told stabilized rice bran would not make her hot. I don't do fast or hot!! Anyway, this is what worked very well for my mare. She is 26 yo now, and most people are amazed to here that fact because she doesn't look it.Lonnie _________________________________________________________________ From photos to predictions, The MSN Entertainment Guide to Golden Globes hasit all. http://tv.msn.com/tv/globes2007/?icid=nctagline1 =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
