[RC] Relationship between AERC & USEF & Drug Approval - FXLivestock

I am curious if AERC was consulted at all about the this policy change.  Endurance is recognized as one of the USEF disciplines and AERC is the only endurance organization recognized by USEF. If AERC was not consulted why not??   Is this relationship only one sided where USEF uses AERC competitions, riders, etc. for their endurance discipline?  Why would we not be consulted by USEF on something this significant as it would seem that USEF would want this kind of feedback IF this drug is going to be allowed in USEF endurance competitions?

I know Heidi and others insist on remaining involved and tied to USEF and FEI  to influence but it is difficult to "influence" policy when it seems that this organization, AERC and the AERC veterinary committee,  is not even significant enough to consult with on how a drug like this might effect horses in endurance competition.

Does anyone know if any feedback was requested from AERC on this issue, if only from how it might effect the endurance discipline?
