[RC] 'tree hugging' and endurance - SpottedracerGuess since I've finished all my academics for my Bio degree - have 2 classes left for my Chem degree...... And have been corraled by an old Mentor into working on a research team project which is taking Environmental/ecological studies - and converting them into a format for teachers to utilize in the classroom.... I could probably be considered a 'tree hugger'. (Though I usually vote for middle-of-the-fence politicians, regardless of 'party') This said, Endurance riding for ME (as a biologist/chemist intensely interested in ecological research) is truly a part of my 'study'.. I've been known to excitedly stop my horse from a full gallop - just to jump off and look at some plant/fungi/animal - that I've previously ONLY seen in a book! And if I can't figure out what it is - I go home and research until I can name it. (Cheryl - remember those weird Morrels?) Maybe I'm strange - since I strive to observe nature as much as I'm striving to complete the ride on time... But even in my own state - there's so many different species to see! BSF has species you don't see at LBL - which has species you don't see much at Natchez Trace...... BTW - as a 'Tree Hugger'.. any of you notice that the new '07 Diesel engines CANNOT run on Biodiesel? - LP =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
