Before we get all excited about FSA333 it itself probably has some environmental downside. Its action sounds remarkably like some of the flurochemical foam and surfactants 3M has been selling for 40 years or so. Now these materials are persistent in the environment and tend to concentrate in the liver. The company has voluntarily reformulated the consumer products and is involved in lawsuits etc. over places where waste was dumped before present laws etc. I post this to emphasize that there is a downside to everything, we just have to learn that if we have a population of 300 million and want a decent lifestyle, we must make intellegent choices not just ban things as "bad".
