It's the endurance model. I have never used it. He is too small for it(need more holes in the billets), and I can see where the wither area would get too much pressure..he has a nice wither, but if I were to sit in this saddle, the cut back part ends at about the middle of his wither. So there would be pressure. If I had a quarter horse, or some other breed with a low or mutten wither, this saddle would be GREAT! I would definitely use it.
Interesting......I guess it depends on the model...the foam pommel sounds like a very good idea....the sport saddle copies have hard pommels and cantles...maybe the Barefoot copies that are all foam would work well.....see,, I may end up eating my words! Which model Hilason do you have?
