I forwarded this note from RideCamp to my brother,
who works with computers for a living, and asked if this was true. His
answer:
No
From RideCamp:
I have noticed some ad emails on ridecamp that look
like they were the result of viruses. I had this same problem
until someone gave me the cure. It goes as follows:
Open
your address book. Click on "new contact". In name window
type "A". For screen name or email address type AAAAAAA@xxxxxxx. The name "A" will
be placed at the top of your address book as entry #1. This will be
where the worm starts when it tries to send itself to everybody.
It will be undeliverable because it is a phony address. It fails
and goes no further.
