[RC] Got a Monkey on my Back - rides2farJoni just *might* loan you Cash Pony. Is that a threat? No way I'd borrow a horse like Cash Pony or Jeb Stuart on the OD trail. I don't want people saying, "Look, she can't even finish with one with a 100'% completion rate!" I've already managed to get pulled on the year the OD had the lowest pull rate in history! Several people have written suggesting horses they might loan me. That's very nice and I apprciate your confidence. However, I would only borrow a horse *for the day*. I'll be working on my own horses at home, but it may take me a few years to make sure I have something that can tackle OD so I can RETURN THIS MONKEY! It's amazing what this monkey does to you. You all know my dedication to PRIMITIVE camping...well, looks like we may break down and buy the 3 horse aluminum trailer my neice has left sitting in my driveway for 6 years. Tonight Bill & I started talking about how we'd finish out the living quarters...because...we might as well, since after all... we're committed to sticking with endurance competition for several more years *at least* because I *have to get rid of the monkey!!* Gunner's headed to another vet (accupuncturist this time) to see if we can get a good diagnosis on what he's pulled so maybe I can get myself a recuperation time frame going. Meanwhile, my hay man has an Arab he wants to sell me. I'm thinking I could get it in the contract that he HAS to sell me enough hay to get it through the winter ahead of all other customers if I buy that one.
