[RC] Fort Schellbourne photos up - Roberta Lieberman

Last week's five-day Fort Schellbourne XP, a ride rich in history along the Pony Express trail, was well worth the trip to northern Nevada. After a hot, dusty Monday ride, a big front rolled in. It rained in camp and snowed in the mountains most of Tuesday night, making for an interesting Wednesday ride for the hardy souls who ventured forth. They returned to camp with reports of sideways- blowing winds and whiteout conditions. Karen Chaton captured the sights and sounds as her trusty Chief clopped steadfastly through the slushy footing. By Thursday conditions were ideal, with snow-flecked mountains and sweeping green valleys awaiting the riders. On Friday Duck had to reroute the trail at the last minute due to lingering snow and poor conditions at the top, but those who rode were rewarded with rich memories. Gypsy and I rode days 1 & 4 and took photos on days 2 & 5. Enjoy!
