Endurance.Net Ridecamp Archives

Mares and fillies have their own races. Most trainers and owners race 
the mares and fillies in those races. In Europe it is much more common 
for a mare to run against the boys than it is in the US. The owners of 
Rags to Riches are British - but I don't know if that played into the 
equation or not.

Fillies do carry less weight. Rags to Riches carried 121 yesterday and 
the rest of the field carried 126.
