I don't want to start a big debate but according to AERC rules you cannot extend the time.  It is what it is...............mb

Good Morning Campers,  Its a beautiful morning today compared to yesterday which was just a horribly hot and humid day.  Thats what took its toll on the LD'ers.  Lynne Gilberts horse Johnny Rio has done a few 50's so it was not a novice horse and unless they had extended the time there would have been only 2 horses to have finished within the original time.  They came in at 12:47 and 12:48.  The next block came in at 1:34 so you do the math and add the second Vet Check of 30 minutes w/ the first at 45.  The Vets had a very huge concern for the welfare of the horses yesterday.

 

The Vet and Go this morning at 9 miles does not allow crewing so i get to take a nice bath and have coffee as i type to RC.  The first Vet Check is at 24 miles or so, so its going to be a very easy day for the crewing in travel, but w/ 1 VC until 53 miles, as Twyla said..."Its going to take some tough riders this year".   ts
