Re: [RC] OD - 100's on their way! - John TeeterWell, it's a beautiful early summer morning in Idaho (ref: http:// www.endurance.net/oreana/ridecamp/) - our Diamond Field Jack ride north of fairfield was cancelled (hopefully moved 2 weeks) b/c of a foot of snow in the mountains. In Fort Valley - it sounds like a most challenging day ahead. Flora's images are at:http://www.endurance.net/rides/2007OldDominion/gallery/ SaturdayStarts/ Fort Howes is underway in Montana (with the 50s today and the 100s tomorrow); In Australia, the Nanango 160km should just be finishing up; in Knutenburg Denmark - they should be at about the halfway point, as well as Mont le Soie in Belgium and Tuinroete in South Africa! The Ride Em Cowboys is underway in Oklahoma; the White River Summer in Michigan; the Pyramid Challenge in Kentucky; the Descanso Ride in San Diego; the Chalk Rock in Bridgeville California; the Oakland Hills Elevator .... It's full swing around the endurance world this week-end!! Steph and I (and Merri!!:) are going to do a swing through Hart creek drainage today to keep in the spirit - too bad about June snow in the Idaho mountains:( Wish we could share a bit of it with the riders (and horses/mules) at the OD!! jt On Jun 9, 2007, at 5:45 AM, Flora Hillman wrote: Early morning - temps are cool in the low 60's but humidity is still there, enough to make everyone in the predawn check water bottles not once, not twice, but three times. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
