RE: [RC] high ties vs spring ties - Alison Farrin

My Hi Ties have 3 positions - Flat left, centered and flat right.  On my two horse, one of them is up by the front drop down window in the center position and the other is on the same side back by the exit door.  The one at the back, I put in the flat right position, i.e. it is parallel to the trailer side, but hanging out the back.  The horse on this one can still reach hay tied up on the rear side, or I can hang it from the rear trailer door.  The point is, they can't reach each other to tangle up in this position.

This helps if you have buddies that come unglued when separated by the trailer, or like me, keep shoving three horses in my two horse trailer.  I have a 3rd hi-tie on the other side.

I have a two horse bumper pull - I put one Hi-tie on each side. Works great.

Do you know how well they work on smaller trailers?  Mine is an older Logan 2-horse bumper-pull.  I've only ever seen high ties on larger trailers.  I got a portable corral system for that reason, but having a system that you don't have to set up and tear down is pretty attractive.
