[RC] Rude Riders and attitude, reply to Kim - Lucie HessI'm sorry if I wasn't clear in posting in my email that Kim quoted and questioned. I'm not saying that we don't welcome competitive riders, to our "Neck of the woods", we have some very competitive riders in our area, and other very competitive riders from other areas who come to our rides and race, but they don't have the same attitude that was displayed this weekend. I'm not going to go into further details as the previous posts pretty much hit the highlights. But there was other behaviors exhibited that weren't discussed.. You should note, some of this behavior not only negatively affected the ride managers, but had a negative impression on other competitors, the volunteers, some first time competitors (at least 2 family groups who had the kids riding with Dad) who had never been at a AERC competition, and other riders who were using the trails at the time. I didn't say only non competitive riders need apply, we have plenty of races to the finish.. We do appreciate a well ridden, competitive race.. yes they are races... I'm sure my post had a sour and nasty tone to it, but what I was saying, if you don't want to come and play nice, then don't come here....
