I always explained at ride meetings, and in the
written special rules available at checkin that I would DQ and ask to leave for
unsportsmanlike conduct. That if they had a beef talk to the RM, not the
vet. That the RM always sided with the vet.
If I DQ'd it would have been for cause (like
not following the state park's rules about dogs). I would then have
explained that they could file a protest with AERC and/or UMECRA. If
you had a good cause I doubt that they would either protest, or that the protest
would have been upheld.
