"greased eels" - now that's a new one...I like that!  It seems to capture perfectly that feeling of practically "flowing" downhill on a good downhill horse!  I've ridden several, and my youngster I think is going to be one.  My husband's Paso Fino is such a horse...he glides downhills (at a trot) at incredible speeds, rounded up, weight back on his hindquarters, never missing a step.  He's a joy to watch (and ride).
