Why would you not think "speed kills"? __________________________ Sorry I wasn't clear in my original post - the rider who spooked the other horses was on a HORSE. I don't know how to define "popped over a rise" in this instance since I wasn't there - it was how the rider who spooked the horses described it to my hubby. And if speed kills, someone needs to determine what qualifies as 'speed'. To many a pleasure rider, 8 mph is blazing fast... I have no idea if the rider was at 'fault' for spooking those horses by going too fast, or if it was a 'sh** happens' type spook. Only the three people who were there on the scene know what happened, and I can almost bet that they have different memories of exactly how it went down...
