LOL...if a person goes thru all that to get my horse...like stealing my brand and putting it on there horses ??? .ohhh my goshh....

I just wanted something VISIBLE to identify my horses... i have sorell geldings...they are a dime a dozen.... so i thought a brand is visible from farther away then a Chip....

Brands are pretty much obsolete in the East. You very seldom see a brand. We used ear notches when I was a kid on our ranch in Kentucky to mark the cattle. I can tell you, however, in Florida you will fly through the ag stop if your horse is chipped and you have the chip ID on your paperwork. You will still be able to get through without it but it will take longer.
