I will also be using the Luwex pads...again at OD.  They worked great on my horses for last year's OD 100, and then again for the NC 100 and 50.    I do use the Equipak under them, mainly I am paranoid about some little rock getting in there.  The last thing that anybody wants to worry about at the OD is Shoeing  !!!!  You have plenty of other things to think about.

They come in different colors.  The color indicates which size they are.  Yellow is size 1, 0 is green, and I think size 2 is orange.    

 

I'll have Luwex on all 4 hooves at the OD!

I know some riders from Tennessee who use this pad and are also pleased with it which is how I found out about it.  I believe they are a German made product.  Luwex, bright yellow plastic pad.
