Heidi is right. It took us awhile to figure that out. We live in Tx where
elytes are highly encouraged. Last weekend I rode a 25 and my daughter rode in
the 50 and it was hot and very humid but we do not give our horses electrolytes.
They had As all day long. My horse & my daughter's horse are 3/4 siblings.
My daughter's horse has done a 100 miler in 100 degrees with no elytes and did
fabulous. For some reason this particular line does better with no electrolytes.
My husband horse (different line) does better with small doses throughout the
day.
