RE: [RC] [RC] no t.v??? - Amber B FortMy SIL and Brother raised thier kids with NO TV in the house. It was one of the things they agreed upon when they started talking about getting married and raising childeren. My Brother was killed in a car accident about 5-6 years ago and my SIL has since remarried and still they have no tv in the house. My nephews are 14 and 16 and are very well read and versed in current events. I would rather not have tv in my household. When I got divorced from hubby #1, he kept the tv which was fine with me and I lived without one for awhile. At least till hubby #2 came along. I am an avid reader and he has long since grown tired of me telling him, the book was better than the movie LOL. Joy of Joys, my 2 and half year old daugter, just started saying, "Read Mommy, READ" as she tries to put a book in my hand. And to keep this horse related, she also says "Ride Jerry Ride" (my black Arab gelding). Somehow, I don't think it will be much longer and she will be ready to hit the trails w/mommy.
