We have a horse that sustained a rattlesnake
bite on his pastern, 5 years ago. We've tried everything we could to make
him completely sound, and it hasn't happened yet. But...he is sound
when unshod and with Easyboot Epics on his front feet (it was a front
foot the was bitten.) Why don't you try the Epics on your horse without
shoes? I didn't catch why you wanted to use them in the first place...I
missed that. The Epics stay on well...we've never had them come loose in
creeks or mud, and they seem to do a good job of protecting the horse's
feet when on rocks.
DRAT...I wanted to buy a set first before I took the shoes off and see
how they worked with the shoes on and then go barefoot...hmmm...Maybe he won't
need a different size...I have an easy spare so I'll try that one first.
