[RC] Barbaro's Choice! - D'Arcy Demianoff-Thompson

I defy any of you that have not ever been in the
presence of this magnificent horse, to stare into his
eyes, and say, "put him down!"  

I have witnessed his struggle first hand.  You know
what?  HE has made the choice to live.  The owner's
are foreright and have made it known.  When Barbaro
does not want to get up any more.  When Barbaro gives
up the fight then it's time!  Not one minute before.  

It has NOTHING to do with stud fees.  The owner's do
not need that money!  It has everything to do with
being able to provide an opportunity for Barbaro to
keep up HIS fight!  They have also made it known he
may NEVER stand stud!  The last comment I heard was,
"he has earned the right to be in a pasture and live
out his life to the fullest as HE will dictate!"  

As a breeder and owner I know the struggle that we all
go through and want the best for our horses. What I
have learned more than anything over the last 57
years!  You listen to your horses not your heart! 
Believe me Barbaro's owner's are listening to Barbaro!
Of that you can be rest assured!
