Yes ... That horse hurts bad. We all saw him out. on a sunny day warm day.
with pain meds. on most days I bet he is not the same bright loving guy we
saw.
His eyes are bright, he
is eating, the broken leg is recovering and there are lots of horses out there
that have recovered from a founder at the level of his left hind. Could
you look your beloved animal in the eye and put him down just because some
part of him hurts? Its been very clear that his owner and trainer love
him. If they can afford to spend a million dollars to fix him, god bless
them. His owner has said that she would do what she could for him even
if he never spends a day at stud.
Just because she has
money doesn't automatically mean she loves him any less than I love my shaggy
guys out in their 2 acre drylot.

With the way I hurt with bad joints, I would never do this to any animal.
He is a very young horse who will hurt... Bad for the rest of his life.

I feel it is disgusting, inhumane, and
criminally negligent that this poor animal has been kept alive to
make people feel better.
