I suspect the answer is "we don't know." We don't require examination at 30 minutes so many riders opt to take longer. The trail layout may require a 30 minute walk, e.g., the BSF which I completely forgot about till Angie mentioned it, duh....... how many times have I done that one. And if a horse comes up at 45 minutes at a pulse of 48 how do we know what it was at 15 minutes or 30 minutes - we don't. Horses vet through in 5 minutes then get into trouble - so what's the magic number. The AERC could address a lot of these issues defining a testable hypothesis and take data at rides.
