Yes, I do understand.? That's the problem with "rules" vs. suggestions...there's no room for leeway.? Just like the discussion about how many vet checks should be required.? As one person mentioned they were shocked by the fact that some of our western rides only have one vet check.? However, it works fabulously in the XP rides and no one wants a rule made that wouldn't allow it.? I was simply commenting that I did understand that for most of us, it is normal to vet in right away.? I do have some concerns that we are further penalizing "other breeds" that we say we want in the sport.? I have NO evidence of that, just wondering...most of my friends with QHs do not get the kind of immediate pulse drop I do with an Arab.? Personally, I hate AERC adding rules without a lot of careful thought and discussion and, even wonder if they ought to ask the membership "officially" for their feedback.
