[RC] biting horse - Dot WigginsI have to agree with Ed and Jim here, biting and kicking is UNACCEPTABLE any time anywhere.Their suggestions work just fine, I've never known a horse to get head shy if your reaction is quick, sharp, and then over with. However, I've usually found that horses that frown, bite, or other wise object to being saddled or cinched often have pain issues, sometimes the saddle, more often chiropractic issues. Refusing jumps can surely be either one. But they still aren't allowed to bite. <g> They still are not allowed to bite, =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
