It seems to me that Aussie saddles are one of those things you either love or hate. If you like a deep, secure seat that really holds you in, then you'll like an Aussie. If, however, you like a wide open seat with lots of room to move around, then you'll hate an Aussie. I personally love them. I used one on my little Arab when I first started in endurance. It fit me perfectly and I never came out of it -- the only saddle I never came out of riding that little horse. :)) It didn't fit him so well, though, so we moved on to a custom Desoto saddle which fit us both. I've always wanted another Aussie, and I'm seriously considering one for my new horse. I found the seat to be very secure, and the poleys never got in my way, never interfered with posting at all, and definitely helped me stay on when Lakota did his "Exit, stage left!" maneuver.
