Re: [RC] [RC] How to clean mohair cinches & wool saddle blankets! - Sarah SimmonsOh and while I am on the subject, do you know a good way to clean 100% mohair cinches? This is the only kind of girth my horse can wear that does not cause him sores. He is allergic to neoprene. I have the classic equine roper cinch that has a leather strip in the middle so I don't want to just throw it in the washing machine. I used to have a Sporttack mohair english-style girth with the neoprene ends and that I could wash in the machine and drip dry, but after only a few washings the mohair started totally fuzzing out where it looked like a shaggy animal attached to my horse's chest. I have always machine-washed my saddle blankets in cold water with woolite and then hung them out to dry. The blankets tend to fuzz up too but not as bad as that one cinch from Sporttack did :)Sarah _________________________________________________________________ Get a FREE Web site, company branded e-mail and more from Microsoft Office Live! http://clk.atdmt.com/MRT/go/mcrssaub0050001411mrt/direct/01/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
