[RC] USEF elite - Steve Shaw

This has been on the AERC forum and to some extent on Ridecamp. MY biggest problem with USEF and the FEI system.
We talk about the costs of getting to rides, the cost of an FEI ride, the number of Associations we need to be a member of in order to do international events and THEN the added payoff to USEF to go out of country.
For ten years I have been fighting against this as it turns international competition into an elite sport, those who can pay or have the time get to go. NOT the best horses.
USEF should pay the freight with donations to get the best horses, not accept the pay off to their bureaucracy.
Heck, I don't care anymore. You guys deal with it.... I am having much more fun with my dog and bird and volunteering at the Duck rides....
