RE: [RC] [RC] How to reduce costs of hauling to rides - carpooling - Chris PausHeidi, we can come up with a zillion "what ifs." Geez, we are endurance riders. Think of all the things that could happen to us and our horses out on trail, but we still tack up and go out there and pay for the privilege to ride on tough trails, long distances in sometimes miserable conditions! Sure, carpooling won't work for everyone, If you look for enough reasons for it not to work, then it won't. Endurance riders generally are a creative bunch. We can tie tack back together with baling string, modify saddles and pads to meet our needs, put ourselves back together with vet wrap and duct tape....we are great at improvising! Last summer the gas prices were $3.00 here and rides still happened. People still got there. If we really want to go, we'll put on our big girl panties and find a way to make it happen!
