Hi Elly,

 

Does he have a dorsal stripe?  Grulla is a form of dun which means he must have a dorsal stripe to be grulla.  Also, how old is he, and what color were his parents.  My arab gleding was the same color until he was about 5 when it became apparent he was very slowly going grey.
