The FEI is in charge of international make no mistake about it. The USEF is in charge of international in the US make no mistake about it. It is very clear that the AERC has no input. I joined AERC I in 1992 and was a member till last year. My limit was surpassed when they USEF announced 5 year old horses with 200 miles (no 100's required ) could nominate for the last PAN AM's with a 13:20 COC required to go.The international folks don't need the AERC - the USEF could give too hoots and the FEI could care less. Those that want to ride international can do so without the AERC. AERC I was a good idea when it was formed - it's no longer a good idea. The baby has grow up and turned really ugly.
