The endurance rules are extremely specific.
It all goes back to the original Auburn, CA bar discussion. Some claimed
that modern horses could not be ridden 100 miles in 24 hours. The time
limit is the same today. 100 miles = 24 hours, 50 miles = 12 hours,
25 miles = 6 hours, and other distances scaled proportionately. All holds,
naps, and time while lost or confused is included.
