Of course you can get yourself into trouble if your herd is made up of 'alpha' type mares that don't want to subordinate to anyone! That's when you need to sell your 16 acres and move to 100 acres for the alpha retirees! LOL!
<<To a certain extent, boldness IS inborn--all one has to do is watch the differing reactions of a bunch of foals in a group to a variety of stimuli. And there is also a tremendous difference that is notable when one first starts to work with a horse.
