Re: [RC] [RC] Trot question for the engineers - Laney HumphreyThe differences you describe remind me of some horses I know. One of them travels along so efficiently, with everything kind of underneath himself. He doesn't reach or stretch or bounce. The other, who is a more competitive horse, always seems to be reaching in front of himself, as if trying to get down the trail faster. He travels in a hollow-backed frame and often has a sore back at the end of a ride which the first horse never has. I don't know whether he widens his hind stride when he trots. I've never compared their conformation and I'm not sure I'd know what differences to look for but I'll bet there are significant one, either in the shoulders or hind end or both.Laney Ranelle Rubin wrote: Dot, =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
